When environmental compliance hinges on split-second logic, standard programming isn't enough. You need complex process control. Our automation team recently completed a highly critical automation project for Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) system, designed to convert harmful Nitrogen Oxides (NOx) exhaust into harmless Nitrogen using ammonia
(NH3) for an overseas project.
Controlling ammonia injection is a delicate balancing act. The logic required the team to build multiple intricate, real-time control blocks to handle a complex set of variables:
Dynamic, Multi-Injector Sequencing: The system had to switch multiple ammonia injectors on and off in real time.
Parameter Driven Precision: The exact volume of ammonia released had to automatically adjust based on fluctuating process parameters like temperature to prevent "ammonia slip" while ensuring full neutralization.
Agility and Expertise: Doing this on a tight timeline is hard enough. Modifying the critical programming logic live during overseas site commissioning by the client requires very high adaptability and technical expertise.
The Result
Thanks to the team's deep technical expertise and ability to innovate under pressure, the system is now fully operational, hitting exact dosing targets seamlessly.
